How Do I Join Vassal?

The Process to Join Vassal is slightly more involved than other Servers of a similar nature, in part due to being Modded, and in part due to having standards for server members to build a stronger, safer community for Vassal.

The Vassal Verification System, which has been honed and refined for years in previous servers, is one of the main reasons why it has such an incredible playerbase with so much creativity and co-operation. None of that means that the process is particularly difficult or laborious though, just not as simple as putting in an IP.

First, you'll want to Join Our Discord. All Members of the server are required to be part of the Discord server, and without it you won't be able to submit your Verification, Download the Modpack, or Get the IP.

Join The Discord

Once you've Joined the Discord, go to the channel called #verification. There you'll find a link to the Verification Form! We're not going to ask anything too personal, but we will ask about related experience, things like your preferred name/nickname, etc.

It's quite quick, it should take about 5 minutes to complete, but just make sure you give appropriate responses to questions, and try to avoid 1-sentence answers where possible.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people who won't treat Vassal like an anarchy factions server or a modpack to be "beaten", we're looking for people who want to engage with the setting and other characters to tell interesting stories and make something special!

Additionally, we also have ZERO tolerance for bigotry of any kind, whether that be Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia, and the like.

After you've submitted your Verification Request, Staff will do their best to review it in a timely fashion. We're all volunteering our time, so it might take a bit, but just be patient and we'll get to you eventually.

Keep your eyes on the #verification-status channel, where you'll be notified when Staff have finished reviewing your Verification Request! We'll let you know there whether you were Verified or Denied.

If you were Denied, you're always free to submit another Verification Request! However, do keep in mind that Staff are not able to tell you what specific reason you were denied for.

If you were Verified, Welcome! You can head to the #server-info channel to Download the Modpack and Get the IP! Just make sure to Read the Rules in the #rules channel or linked here before you Join!
