This Guide goes over the different Festivals in Vassal.
Festivals are in-game events that align with the Solstices and Equinoxes for the Seasons, each lasting 9 Ingame Days (Roughly 18 IRL Hours). Many come with some sort of Buff or Bonus, and depending on Player and Staff Activity, actual events may be hosted in Major Cities for these Festivals. Some Festivals, like the one for the Autumnal Equinox, are INCREDIBLY important.
There are 4 Festivals in Vassal:
Mayday
A Festival to Celebrate the Spring Equinox. It's a Festival focused on the rejuvenation of Life that comes with the Spring, and players will recieve the Comfort effect for the Duration of the Festival.
Midsummer
A Festival to Celebrate the Summer Solstice. It's a Festival focused on reverance for the Deities of Vassal, and as such the Deities themselves will be much more active during this time, and players will recieve a 2x Bonus to Influence Gains when Praying.
Samhain
A Festival to Celebrate the Autumnal Equinox. As well as in part being a Harvest Festival, a large part of the Festival is focused on the Warding of Evil from our World. Players do not gain a direct bonus, rather, they must come together with the materials to repair the Seal binding an Ancient Evil.
Yule
A Festival to Celebrate the Winter Solstice. It's a Festival focused on coming together and celebrating the continued survival and wellbeing of all. Players will recieve a Small Gift, and the Warmth of the Holiday will drive away the Cold.
